Entering Greta Base proper, the specialists sent by ARIES Corporation find a deathly silent research station. The first common room they inspect is a horror show, covered in debris, blood, and spent bullet casings. Yet most concerning to the team is the makeshift barracade across the hallway, restricting movement deeper into the base.
At least is is the most concerning issue until strange noises begin echoing from down the hall...
We continue Another Bug Hunt, a Mothership adventure.

[00:00:09] The Rancors Brothel presents
[00:00:31] Mothership, A Sci-Fi Horror RPG by Tuesday Night Games
[00:00:52] You see, um, you can kind of make out in the corner now that you can get your flashlight in and everything's not frozen.
[00:00:57] It appears to be a form in the back right corner.
[00:01:02] It's like a rough body shape that's covered in ice.
[00:01:05] Is this an upright door? I think I'm misinterpreting this.
[00:01:08] Yeah, it's an upright door. It's a walk-in door.
[00:01:09] I don't know why I thought this was on the floor.
[00:01:11] It's a walk-in.
[00:01:13] I swear, I thought you said chest.
[00:01:15] Um, then I shout. I don't know.
[00:01:18] The nippy in there?
[00:01:20] Hands in the air, step forward.
[00:01:22] I don't know. Any response? Does it move?
[00:01:24] No. Is it cheater?
[00:01:25] It does not.
[00:01:26] Is it growl?
[00:01:27] It does not.
[00:01:28] Does it breathe in? I fucking shoot it.
[00:01:29] You said this thing was like pressure seal.
[00:01:31] Is that what was keeping it locked?
[00:01:33] Um, yeah, let's say yeah.
[00:01:37] I think that that's fair.
[00:01:38] I think that it, well, I'm trying to think.
[00:01:40] So then the door should just open now?
[00:01:42] I mean, I would think if that's the case then we could, if we just open it.
[00:01:45] I would think with the broken lock you've equalized the pressure.
[00:01:48] I mean, the Android can reach in.
[00:01:50] There should be a push button on the other side.
[00:01:51] You feel like you can figure out a way to mechanically lever it.
[00:01:55] But as you start to do that, you do realize that it was sealed from the inside.
[00:01:59] Like it, like if you think about the freezer door, right?
[00:02:02] If you've ever been in a walk-in freezer, it has a solid hard lock.
[00:02:06] Yeah, but there's also usually a push button to open it from the inside.
[00:02:09] Right. Someone has jimmied it to make it harder to open from the outside.
[00:02:14] Gotcha. Yeah, somebody ran in here and then probably froze to death.
[00:02:17] I opened the door.
[00:02:18] You opened the door?
[00:02:19] You feel the, again, now the wave of cold even more is strong.
[00:02:23] Like you're actually getting condensation.
[00:02:25] For those of you who smell, you get that sort of like, that biting, tingling,
[00:02:30] raising hairs on the inside of your nose feeling from the cold.
[00:02:33] But you do see a, the form of a body off to the side.
[00:02:37] How big is this freezer?
[00:02:39] It's walk-in so I don't know maybe...
[00:02:42] I'm kind of imagining...
[00:02:43] Two or three people in it maybe.
[00:02:44] A little bit bigger than that.
[00:02:46] I mean...
[00:02:47] I've been in some big walk-in freezers.
[00:02:48] Right. No, no, no.
[00:02:49] I don't think it's like a, we would say maybe like a five by seven space.
[00:02:54] Like a decent size.
[00:02:55] To dorm them.
[00:02:56] But it's not like a commercial 30 by 30 walk-in freezer.
[00:03:00] I don't think it's quite that big.
[00:03:01] But you do got to think that if they need to keep something cold
[00:03:04] and the fact that they're out here in the middle of nowhere,
[00:03:06] it's still decent size.
[00:03:07] Say maybe 10 by 10 at the most.
[00:03:09] What are yourselves?
[00:03:11] 8 by 8?
[00:03:12] There's 9 by 9.
[00:03:13] No big deal.
[00:03:14] No big deal.
[00:03:15] I go up and check the body.
[00:03:16] Is there a 9?
[00:03:17] I'm gonna say.
[00:03:18] You see the corpse of a frozen marine and a discarded metal case.
[00:03:23] A frozen marine is wearing a tinfoil hat?
[00:03:25] That's fun.
[00:03:26] Once again, I will check the dog tags and pull them.
[00:03:29] Lieutenant Corporal Resnick.
[00:03:31] He is clutching a plastic vacuum tumbler.
[00:03:35] Like a drink tumbler?
[00:03:37] No, this would be more...
[00:03:40] Scientific.
[00:03:41] Yeah, a little bit more like a...
[00:03:43] I would like to pry that from his cold dead hands.
[00:03:46] Sure?
[00:03:47] I can't, then I'll drag him out into the hallway until he thaws and then we'll pry it from his
[00:03:52] hands.
[00:03:53] So as I was saying, it's like a plastic vacuum tumbler.
[00:03:55] So I'm thinking like a thermos but this is something that's more scientific or medical
[00:04:00] grade you write.
[00:04:01] Lucas, fear safe?
[00:04:02] I gotta say use a dead body.
[00:04:03] Because I touched a dead body?
[00:04:04] Huh?
[00:04:05] Because of a dead body?
[00:04:06] No.
[00:04:07] No because you're going to break his arms off when you pull the thing.
[00:04:11] That's a 17 out of 41 so...
[00:04:13] Apparently you're very fine with the snap crackling pop as the fingers and part of his hand come
[00:04:18] with the case that you just took.
[00:04:20] See this is why I was coming in first.
[00:04:22] Kind of want to knock him off.
[00:04:25] Sorry, there's a finger still stuck to that.
[00:04:27] I hand it to a scientist.
[00:04:29] No, does it say like TGRI on the side?
[00:04:32] What is it?
[00:04:33] Yeah, 100% that's what it says.
[00:04:36] No, it's...
[00:04:37] You...
[00:04:38] I don't think you would know.
[00:04:39] It doesn't say anything.
[00:04:40] This is absolutely nothing.
[00:04:41] Not even a serial number?
[00:04:42] I know, there's liquid in it.
[00:04:44] No, no, I just...
[00:04:45] I did this but there's no label or nothing on the outside written etched in whatsoever.
[00:04:49] I mean I'm taking it with me.
[00:04:51] Sure.
[00:04:52] I check the discarded metal container for any identified items.
[00:04:56] It is a...
[00:04:57] It's again sort of a...
[00:04:59] It's a medical case, you know.
[00:05:01] It's clearly got a medical symbol on it.
[00:05:02] You could open it kind of like a first aid kit looking thing.
[00:05:05] Opening it.
[00:05:06] I do.
[00:05:07] Okay.
[00:05:08] So, 25 liters of something labeled as chemotherapeutic agents.
[00:05:15] It's got some writing on it.
[00:05:18] Like you can read it, you just don't necessarily know what the fuck it is.
[00:05:21] Would anybody in our group have any sort of...
[00:05:24] Well, I don't know, it's in the dossier of like individuals in the crew that should be here, whether or not they have...
[00:05:32] That was not provided.
[00:05:33] Yeah, background, like medical background info.
[00:05:35] Well, since I have at least a little bit of knowledge, I know that that is toxic as hell.
[00:05:40] Yeah, well I mean we're gonna leave it in the tube.
[00:05:42] No, no, no, what he's...
[00:05:43] No, no, I have...
[00:05:44] What he's got is separate from the tube.
[00:05:46] The case and the tube are not related.
[00:05:48] It's not like he opened up an empty case.
[00:05:50] He opened up a case with stuff in it.
[00:05:51] Doesn't need to stay frozen?
[00:05:52] Chemotherapeutic agents typically not.
[00:05:54] You wouldn't...
[00:05:55] You wouldn't think so.
[00:05:56] You don't know.
[00:05:57] That's what happens.
[00:05:58] Two Marines and an android.
[00:05:59] And a pizza place.
[00:06:00] And a group of other individuals.
[00:06:02] Yeah, yeah.
[00:06:03] You know that show was actually really fucking funny.
[00:06:04] It was funny.
[00:06:05] I enjoyed it a lot as a kid.
[00:06:06] Until for some reason, season two they just dropped the pizza place.
[00:06:08] Just called it to you guys and I go, oh that was weird.
[00:06:11] Anything else you guys would like to do?
[00:06:13] Troy, you're kind of standing to the back as they're investigating things, things that
[00:06:17] you would like to do.
[00:06:18] Is there anything else in the freezer now?
[00:06:20] So just marine thermos case.
[00:06:22] Correct.
[00:06:23] Tin foil hat.
[00:06:24] You do see that there is a vent in the ceiling.
[00:06:27] Open?
[00:06:28] Like a jar?
[00:06:29] No, it's a vent.
[00:06:32] I said the same joke when we played Death in Space.
[00:06:35] No, it's not a...
[00:06:36] The door was a jar but not quite.
[00:06:38] It's not like that kind of...
[00:06:39] Still the door.
[00:06:40] It was something that was helping to pressurize and keep the room cool at some point.
[00:06:44] It's not like your classic, what I want to say, die hard, I'm crawling in the vent
[00:06:48] kind of vent.
[00:06:49] But there is, there's clearly air flow from somewhere else to here.
[00:06:52] Do I actually feel air coming through?
[00:06:56] Probably just very slightly.
[00:06:59] Because if you think about it, you did just crack that open and now you've got cold and
[00:07:03] warm hitting each other.
[00:07:04] So it would be similar to like opening your door on a day when the temperature outside
[00:07:08] is drastically different from the inside.
[00:07:10] You would feel that flow from hot to cold, from high to low pressure, etc.
[00:07:14] Do I see any means of like a like power box or anything?
[00:07:20] Yeah there would have been controls for like temperature and stuff in here for sure.
[00:07:23] And he chose to freeze himself.
[00:07:25] I feel like he didn't have a choice.
[00:07:26] If I like click it to the mildest of temperatures.
[00:07:30] It clicks but nothing changes.
[00:07:33] Still lack of power.
[00:07:35] Well yeah, but something is independently powering this thing.
[00:07:39] Move on to the next room.
[00:07:42] So you go back through the pantry, through the commissary, anything you want to do or
[00:07:47] look at in the commissary?
[00:07:48] So there were shell casings.
[00:07:51] Yes, there are bullet casings all over the ground.
[00:07:54] So guess what? See what size bullet by that casing?
[00:07:57] Somebody with military training wouldn't do that.
[00:07:59] Yeah, yeah, no you would know.
[00:08:00] It is... Cody doesn't know because he doesn't know a whole lot about guns.
[00:08:04] But it would be nothing that you wouldn't expect.
[00:08:09] Whatever your sort of standard issue SMGs or pulse rifles, that's the kind of
[00:08:13] case in which you would expect to see.
[00:08:15] There are no weapons lying around.
[00:08:16] The only body part literally is just the head and no other body parts.
[00:08:20] I mean I'm gonna case the room at this point.
[00:08:23] No, as you go to case the room.
[00:08:25] Or any viscera of any kind.
[00:08:27] No, no, no.
[00:08:28] You start to...
[00:08:29] An odorless smell of death.
[00:08:30] Right.
[00:08:31] Which could just become from the one head.
[00:08:32] What do you want?
[00:08:33] I'm getting there. Relax.
[00:08:35] When you go towards the upturned table with the cake splattered all over the floor,
[00:08:40] as you get a little bit closer you see that a human arm protrudes from underneath the table.
[00:08:46] So it's like someone had flipped the table onto themselves.
[00:08:49] Onto themselves or like down for cover or something like that.
[00:08:52] Pulled it down on top of themselves, hard to tell.
[00:08:54] And under the table is a headless corpse in fatigues.
[00:08:58] Is the headless corpse the same skin tone as the head?
[00:09:02] Can we presume this is the body of the head?
[00:09:04] You would think so, yes.
[00:09:07] Can we just lego that back on?
[00:09:08] Check for dog tags again.
[00:09:10] Yeah, that is a good... yeah.
[00:09:11] Correct.
[00:09:12] Lieutenant Corporal Xavier.
[00:09:14] A lot of the Lieutenant Corporals around here.
[00:09:16] You do see that...
[00:09:17] Two.
[00:09:18] What was the... what was the second guy?
[00:09:20] Second Lieutenant.
[00:09:21] Oh, Second Lieutenant, sorry.
[00:09:22] A lot of the Lieutenant's around here.
[00:09:23] You do see that the... now this is weird to think about.
[00:09:26] Everyone's in charge, no privates.
[00:09:27] The headless corpse has a hole in its neck.
[00:09:31] Heavy smoker.
[00:09:32] So yes, I would say that it is like a...
[00:09:35] almost like a tracheotomy gone incredibly wrong.
[00:09:39] Yeah, whatever you say.
[00:09:41] The skin is also covered in paper cuts.
[00:09:44] All right, the paper cut thing again.
[00:09:46] Must have had a paper tornado.
[00:09:47] My assumption right now is that little insects
[00:09:50] bushed their way out or cli- that's what I'm thinking.
[00:09:53] Burl their way through?
[00:09:54] Like a tube worm?
[00:09:55] I don't know.
[00:09:56] I mean, are they just like straight cuts?
[00:09:58] Like if you look at the shingles of a roof
[00:10:00] or is it like as if a worm has gone through their face?
[00:10:03] No, I mean it's like somebody sat there
[00:10:05] and gave you a whole bunch of crisscross paper cuts.
[00:10:08] Uniform in any way or just random...
[00:10:11] All sort of basically similar size.
[00:10:13] I mean, like are they all like...
[00:10:15] No, they're not all like patterned or parallel or...
[00:10:18] That's a good call.
[00:10:19] Crisscrossed.
[00:10:20] But they don't make you jump jump.
[00:10:22] So they make you jump jump?
[00:10:24] Like I said, the one distinguishing feature is like
[00:10:27] the head must have been taken off very close to the jawline
[00:10:30] because there's a decent stub of neck still on the corpse.
[00:10:34] And like I said, what's left of the neck has like
[00:10:37] it's as if something slit from
[00:10:41] vertically up and down the throat
[00:10:43] because the throat is like opened up so that you can see the
[00:10:47] I guess what you call it, the top of the esophagus,
[00:10:49] the throat, the voice box.
[00:10:50] The voice box, but all that's still there.
[00:10:52] Epicalotis.
[00:10:53] It's not been removed.
[00:10:54] The guy who has a medical degree is talking.
[00:10:57] Don't worry about it.
[00:10:59] He knows anatomy.
[00:11:00] Oh yeah.
[00:11:01] I'm describing it to the lay people.
[00:11:04] The people who are probably even smarter than us put together.
[00:11:07] We have some listeners that are way smarter than us.
[00:11:10] We're dumb as fuck.
[00:11:12] Sorry.
[00:11:13] I was going to, sorry.
[00:11:14] I was just going to ask, is it a clean cut or was it like,
[00:11:17] is it as if it was ripped off the body?
[00:11:20] As you begin to inspect Lucas,
[00:11:22] make me a fear safe for fuck's sake.
[00:11:24] Death means nothing to me.
[00:11:26] Apparently jumpy as hell.
[00:11:28] It's another 17.
[00:11:29] All right.
[00:11:30] What are you doing?
[00:11:31] All right then.
[00:11:32] Apparently it means nothing to you.
[00:11:33] The cut is very up and down.
[00:11:35] So like from the, what do you call it from this?
[00:11:38] I guess that'd be the top of the sternum.
[00:11:40] Like from the top of the sternum all the way up.
[00:11:43] So it's a, what would it be?
[00:11:44] Like a six inch incision that's laid open.
[00:11:47] When you go over there because you're like,
[00:11:48] eh, the voice box and everything's still there.
[00:11:50] You realize that it's basically an open cavity.
[00:11:53] As you kind of like look down,
[00:11:55] like you're like, I'm not a doctor,
[00:11:57] but like there should be anatomy in there.
[00:11:59] Yeah.
[00:12:00] There's not.
[00:12:01] I may have to speak with dad.
[00:12:03] Remember where I said there's not anatomy there?
[00:12:05] It's going to be real hard to speak to something that doesn't have,
[00:12:07] no longer has a voice box or.
[00:12:09] We in our group have a mysticism.
[00:12:11] Functioning lungs or most of anything that belongs inside a chest cavity is gone.
[00:12:16] So the chest cavity is scooped out is what you're telling us?
[00:12:18] Yeah, I mean it's gone.
[00:12:20] Through the neck hole.
[00:12:21] That is one interpretation.
[00:12:24] Yes.
[00:12:25] I don't know that you would be able to con.
[00:12:26] The body does not have claw wound marks.
[00:12:29] No.
[00:12:30] Once again just the head is gone.
[00:12:31] Correct.
[00:12:32] We found the head.
[00:12:34] I think he had asked a question more towards the head and neck separation.
[00:12:38] Yeah.
[00:12:39] Was it ripped off or cut off?
[00:12:40] Yeah, is the head like is it clean?
[00:12:41] Does it look like a clean cut?
[00:12:42] That's about that wasn't a question.
[00:12:44] Not like guillotine clean.
[00:12:45] It's not like ravaged like a bitten off clean.
[00:12:48] It definitely came off in a pretty solid stroke.
[00:12:52] We'll say the executioner had to hit the neck a couple of times.
[00:12:57] But it's been hacked through not ripped off.
[00:13:00] It is cut.
[00:13:01] I don't know that you could tell that.
[00:13:02] I think he could by the way the skin is left laying.
[00:13:05] I don't know.
[00:13:07] I don't think any of us have the skill set for that.
[00:13:10] What would that mean?
[00:13:11] Being a scientist, I think.
[00:13:13] Well, I think it's technically under zoology actually.
[00:13:17] There's pathology field medicine.
[00:13:19] No, because zoology...
[00:13:20] Zoology.
[00:13:21] No, no, no, no.
[00:13:22] The way that the structure is zoology then goes into field medicine.
[00:13:26] So there's no anatomy.
[00:13:28] I would like to point out that the skill tree does branch in a number of different places
[00:13:31] and I don't think zoology is the only way to get to field medicine.
[00:13:34] It actually is.
[00:13:35] I'm pretty sure doesn't he also say that there's pathology as well?
[00:13:38] No, zoology literally is the only one that goes down to field medicine
[00:13:42] if these arrows are correct.
[00:13:44] You need a zoology roll.
[00:13:46] Let's see.
[00:13:47] Botany gets you there Lucas.
[00:13:49] Like literally the next thing down.
[00:13:51] No, botany goes to ecology only.
[00:13:53] It doesn't go up.
[00:13:54] Yes it does.
[00:13:55] See these little side branches?
[00:13:56] That's how the arrows work.
[00:13:58] Oh okay, I do see what you're saying.
[00:14:00] I guess I can see what you're saying.
[00:14:01] Yeah, it's how lines work.
[00:14:04] Like botany goes to ecology and it goes all the way down to wilderness survival as well.
[00:14:08] I guess you can determine it that way.
[00:14:10] Yeah but neither of those like...
[00:14:13] Nothing else goes to field medicine other than zoology and botany.
[00:14:16] It's weird for them to say zoology.
[00:14:18] It's the study of animals.
[00:14:20] Yeah which will be mammals or humans so I feel like that's just an all-encompassing thing.
[00:14:24] Do you have zoology?
[00:14:25] Thank you guys, you're all caught up on the skills.
[00:14:27] Do you have zoology?
[00:14:28] No, I don't.
[00:14:30] The scientist that I made does.
[00:14:32] Are we using that?
[00:14:33] I keep utilizing the hem as an NPC until my guy dies.
[00:14:36] So basically the insides were sucked out because the head was cut off semi-cleanly.
[00:14:42] I would say it's ragged but it's not like incredibly ragged.
[00:14:46] It wasn't nod on or something.
[00:14:47] It came off with force.
[00:14:49] As a side question though, is the slit from the basically top of the sternum all the way up?
[00:14:55] Is that also clean or does that...
[00:14:57] That is fairly clean yeah.
[00:14:59] That is closer to surgical than the other one.
[00:15:02] If you could ever cut off the head and open the neck, at least is aware enough to be accurate instead of just...
[00:15:09] It knows what the organs are.
[00:15:11] Maybe.
[00:15:12] Get to them fairly cleanly.
[00:15:13] Maybe.
[00:15:14] You hear some thumping in the distance farther in the kind of like a clatter.
[00:15:17] Which direction?
[00:15:18] Farther north.
[00:15:20] Yeah we'll call that north that's fine.
[00:15:22] You're not sure where but it's farther in the facility.
[00:15:25] Is it coming from the barricaded hallway or is it coming from the other...
[00:15:29] If we're doing north-south east-west, north would be the open hallway.
[00:15:32] It's hard to tell because it's kind of coming from both directions because all those hallways kind of connect.
[00:15:37] I get that.
[00:15:38] I mean that's...
[00:15:39] Lock and load.
[00:15:40] Yeah you would think if we're doing north-south east-west then you would think northwest corner but is that west?
[00:15:47] Is that northwest corner up there?
[00:15:50] Could be in the hallway, could be in a room.
[00:15:51] You have to kind of head that way to find out.
[00:15:53] Was it a single or is it continuing?
[00:15:55] That's a good question.
[00:15:56] At this point I imagine you walk in a direction and kind of just stop and cock your head a little bit.
[00:16:02] Do this thing?
[00:16:03] You know that feeling like if you ever had an animal it's like two o'clock in the morning
[00:16:08] and you keep hearing like they're fucking around doing something that's trying to get in the trash can.
[00:16:12] Right, yes.
[00:16:13] An animal getting in the trash can when you know they're not supposed to either so they're like batting at it
[00:16:17] so it's like rustle rustle and then it stops and then thump thump thump.
[00:16:20] So it is continuous just not a solid thing?
[00:16:23] Correct, it's not a mechanical thump thump thump thump.
[00:16:25] It's kind of rustle rustle thump.
[00:16:27] God damn, Russell's always getting in everything.
[00:16:29] Rustling in the bushes.
[00:16:31] Let's go north.
[00:16:33] Did we cover everything in this room I guess?
[00:16:35] I guess we did the important bits.
[00:16:37] Yeah, let's go north.
[00:16:39] Check in the hallways before we enter left and right.
[00:16:41] Yeah you kind of reach a four-way junction.
[00:16:44] Do we want to investigate the sound or do we want to...
[00:16:49] Yeah if it's a person we want to find them.
[00:16:51] Check these rooms.
[00:16:53] If it's a person, yes.
[00:16:55] If it's not a person then no.
[00:16:57] Well I would say let's move up to like right here stop and listen and see if we can determine the direction it's coming from.
[00:17:02] So there's a tiny hallway from the mess into a T.
[00:17:05] I'm assuming if it's coming from both of those hallways it's going to be to the west.
[00:17:10] I think we would have to get here and take a hard listen roll to figure out the actual direction of the disturbance.
[00:17:15] If it's even close enough for us to do that.
[00:17:18] Well I think you're going to get a more feasible listen from here than in here because now you're at the T.
[00:17:23] That makes sense do you?
[00:17:24] Yeah I know what you're saying.
[00:17:26] I stop and listen.
[00:17:27] Okay so it's not a T, it's a four-way intersection.
[00:17:30] That's a fair point now that I look at it this direction.
[00:17:33] But it still branches left and right.
[00:17:36] Right and it also goes forward just making sure that we're all on the same page.
[00:17:39] From over here it doesn't look like it lines up directly but it does.
[00:17:43] So as you step out and kind of listen it's definitely coming from the west now.
[00:17:48] So it's not in front of you, it's definitely.
[00:17:50] Like Troy said it's coming from kind of both directions so you get the sense that it's probably that top left corner of the map.
[00:17:56] Okay I look at our fearless leader.
[00:17:58] I will glance into the round room up the north.
[00:18:02] What does that room look like?
[00:18:04] Probably a closed door.
[00:18:07] You would know however that the round rooms are probably more operational in nature.
[00:18:12] There's no window at all?
[00:18:14] No this is probably just an interior door.
[00:18:16] Just keep out noises and stuff.
[00:18:17] Makes sense.
[00:18:18] Could be storage, could be a bedroom.
[00:18:19] Well we determined that the square rooms are the living quarters so it could be storage or it could be fucking anything.
[00:18:26] You said it was a locked interior door?
[00:18:28] No I didn't say it was locked.
[00:18:29] We just said it was closed.
[00:18:32] You're welcome to check the door.
[00:18:33] I mean I kind of, we can have some, we can have like he and I can look out and make sure nothing else is coming
[00:18:39] and you can, we can check out that room if it's the generator room and I feel like that's a priority even though we're here in some banging.
[00:18:47] I'll look left, you look right, you can open that door if you want to try.
[00:18:50] I want to open the door.
[00:18:51] So you guys are going, I can't see what you're doing but you're going straight north to that big round room at the top.
[00:18:56] He and I are standing basically at either side of the small corridor from the mess hall.
[00:19:00] Okay so you're looking east and west.
[00:19:01] East, he's east, I'm west.
[00:19:03] Okay so you're covering?
[00:19:05] You go up again, it's kind of just a simple like door.
[00:19:08] There's nothing crazy to it so you kind of do have a biohazard scanner.
[00:19:11] You can scan it.
[00:19:12] Biohazard and bio scanner.
[00:19:14] So yeah you can open the door relatively easy if you want to.
[00:19:17] I open the door.
[00:19:18] You open the door into what?
[00:19:19] Six black dragon.
[00:19:20] Yeah you would describe as sort of a command center.
[00:19:24] It's a central nervous system of the base and primary communication station.
[00:19:29] There are, there's some sort of computing device right monitors whatever.
[00:19:34] Central computer and communication instruments are all smashed.
[00:19:38] You see that there is a corpse of a marine slumped over the controls.
[00:19:43] Check the tax.
[00:19:44] As you walk over, you can see that he has a single gunshot wound to the head.
[00:19:50] Self-flicking.
[00:19:51] The, and you can see that in one hand, in one hand he's holding a revolver and in the other hand he holds some papers.
[00:20:00] You said dog tags, sorry I will tell you dog tags.
[00:20:03] This is 2nd Lieutenant Kaplan.
[00:20:05] Hey it's the person, they are no longer viable.
[00:20:08] His body has paper cuts all over as well.
[00:20:12] I take the tax first to prove that we found the dead guy.
[00:20:16] I check what the papers in their hand have if there's anything relevant.
[00:20:22] It is an org chart for the SAMHSA 6 mission.
[00:20:26] Cody has his phone in his hand, I feel like we're getting a handout.
[00:20:29] Jeff, send some.
[00:20:30] Tom we're busy.
[00:20:31] Tell him we got shit going.
[00:20:32] Jeff, fuck's sake we're killing stuff, come over here and play.
[00:20:34] I think he sent it to me last night and I just now finally saw it.
[00:20:36] Oh, good job.
[00:20:37] What is this game?
[00:20:38] You good friend.
[00:20:41] I truly almost lost it.
[00:20:44] Holy crap what is going on?
[00:20:46] It's like super zoomed in so it was like you'll see this org chart.
[00:20:50] It was like just showing me one person.
[00:20:52] On the org chart there's only one person?
[00:20:54] No, I was so zoomed in I opened my phone expecting to see the whole page and I was just seeing one thing.
[00:20:59] It's probably not a great picture but I can send another one later.
[00:21:02] But that is now in the game chat, basically an org chart of all the individuals.
[00:21:08] Just keep checking those guys off.
[00:21:13] And I will actually see if I can find a better image of it because I bet I can pull one from drive now that I think about it.
[00:21:19] So I take the papers, I of course take the revolver because you can never have too many guns.
[00:21:25] Now you said most of the command center was smashed up.
[00:21:28] Yeah, this computer stuff is pretty badly damaged.
[00:21:33] All of it or just most of it?
[00:21:34] Most.
[00:21:35] Got it.
[00:21:36] Is the generator in this room?
[00:21:38] I'm not in the room I shouldn't ask questions.
[00:21:40] We're getting there.
[00:21:41] So I'm slightly confused.
[00:21:43] What's new?
[00:21:44] Here I actually picked it from the PDF so this will probably be a little bit more visible for you.
[00:21:50] There we go that's probably a bit better.
[00:21:51] What are you confused about?
[00:21:52] He was holding this?
[00:21:54] Yes.
[00:21:56] That showed a note that he's dead?
[00:21:58] There you go.
[00:21:59] I mean I'm assuming these acronyms mean the same thing that I'm thinking.
[00:22:03] Yeah, you found most of these dead people already.
[00:22:06] That is interesting though.
[00:22:07] The ones that say KIA, you mean?
[00:22:08] Yeah.
[00:22:09] It's from the future.
[00:22:11] Probably supposed to wait a little bit to give that to you.
[00:22:13] There you go.
[00:22:14] Oh man.
[00:22:15] It's not okay.
[00:22:16] For some reason I was like I didn't put two and two together.
[00:22:19] Well it just seems weird that they would say he's holding this and I'm like
[00:22:22] he's holding something that tells him he's dead?
[00:22:24] That seems a little weird.
[00:22:25] I think it was to help you keep track of who's dead and who's alive.
[00:22:28] You made a good point though.
[00:22:29] Pretend you were worried about it.
[00:22:32] I wonder if there was intent to...
[00:22:35] Well, I guess I know a fair point.
[00:22:38] Something I should have played.
[00:22:40] Player choice sometimes causes some intriguing situations.
[00:22:43] Yeah.
[00:22:44] So.
[00:22:45] No worries.
[00:22:46] So is there a way to access power here or is that somewhere else?
[00:22:52] Power is somewhere else.
[00:22:53] Got that.
[00:22:56] And...
[00:22:58] Okay.
[00:22:59] So I'm trying to take note from what the book was telling us.
[00:23:03] I don't know that we want to go running towards the sound, right?
[00:23:06] Well, we have other options.
[00:23:08] We still have that last room to go to before happening to go anywhere near that thing.
[00:23:12] I kind of want to check that room.
[00:23:14] So like sort of almost triangle formation.
[00:23:18] The two of us walking backwards looking down the hall.
[00:23:21] And don't forget we still have a whole squad with us too.
[00:23:24] That's true, but he's not going to fucking allow those people to do anything of note.
[00:23:29] Sacrificial ponds are still as useful as meat shields.
[00:23:33] Meat shields.
[00:23:34] Just because they don't talk or have...
[00:23:37] What's the word I'm looking for here?
[00:23:41] Agency doesn't mean they can't be useful.
[00:23:44] It's like a screwdriver.
[00:23:45] It's a tool and a weapon.
[00:23:47] Oh, the actual.
[00:23:48] I thought you were talking about that drink.
[00:23:49] I thought everything has to involve alcohol.
[00:23:52] Not that that can't also be both a tool and a weapon.
[00:23:56] This is me.
[00:23:58] This chart is interesting, but also I'm not sure we were supposed to have it right away.
[00:24:05] Yeah.
[00:24:06] But that might just be a typo in the game.
[00:24:09] Like if the game states that we get this thing here,
[00:24:11] it's kind of just the game's fault.
[00:24:13] Whoever wrote the game.
[00:24:14] Could be that.
[00:24:15] And at the end of the day, it seems like it's more of a check-off list of who we can find.
[00:24:20] That's relevant to our mission because we just found the main military guy.
[00:24:24] He's dead.
[00:24:25] We have his dog tag, so Moss doesn't give a crap about it.
[00:24:29] So let's go to the unconnected room that has nothing to do with that sound.
[00:24:35] So you're going back this way?
[00:24:36] We found...
[00:24:37] I thought you gave us a different name.
[00:24:39] Well, I would...
[00:24:41] To prevent your own spoilers, I wouldn't pay attention to some of the KIA stuff.
[00:24:44] I would just not be in any of that shit.
[00:24:46] Did you not say one of the bodies we found was Olsen?
[00:24:49] Uh, yes.
[00:24:51] I thought you were writing down the dead guy's names.
[00:24:53] I wasn't.
[00:24:54] There were three people we were told to look for those names I wrote down.
[00:24:57] That's fair.
[00:24:58] Resnick.
[00:24:59] I want to say Resnick Olsen.
[00:25:01] You found Resnick, you found Lange, you found Xavier,
[00:25:05] and I think you found Olsen so far and Kaplan.
[00:25:07] Yeah.
[00:25:08] I feel like that's a lot more dead people than dog tags that we've checked.
[00:25:12] Resnick was in the freezer, Lange was in the pantry, Xavier was on the floor.
[00:25:18] And then this guy.
[00:25:19] So yeah, that's four.
[00:25:20] You're right, that's four.
[00:25:21] That's four, not five.
[00:25:22] Oh no, it was Happy Birthday Olsen.
[00:25:23] That's where I keep thinking.
[00:25:24] Happy Birthday Olsen.
[00:25:25] That's Olsen's birthday.
[00:25:26] Olsen's somewhere.
[00:25:27] Dead!
[00:25:28] Um, no, I feel like if that's...
[00:25:31] What we were saying while you were gone,
[00:25:33] if the game is written that we get this document here,
[00:25:36] that's the game's fault for giving us that info.
[00:25:38] Well, it's a... there's ways in which I think that you should explore it
[00:25:42] and you've explored it in different ways, which creates for interesting things.
[00:25:45] It is one of those, I guess, at this point, isn't it?
[00:25:46] Yeah.
[00:25:47] Fair point.
[00:25:48] Mystery door.
[00:25:49] Which way?
[00:25:50] To the right.
[00:25:51] East.
[00:25:52] East it is.
[00:25:53] That open?
[00:25:54] Unlocked?
[00:25:55] Yeah.
[00:25:56] It's just the door you can push your way in.
[00:25:57] You see a small medical area with an operating room inside
[00:25:59] and an observation and analysis lab separated by a glass wall.
[00:26:03] Does the container that we took appear to be replicated somewhere in this room?
[00:26:08] Are there other containers that look like that one?
[00:26:11] Probably.
[00:26:12] It's kind of a generic container.
[00:26:13] It's not like it's a very obvious container.
[00:26:15] Yeah, but we know that one has liquid in it.
[00:26:18] Correct.
[00:26:19] If I kind of pick up a couple of them up, are they empty?
[00:26:22] Hard to say.
[00:26:24] Are they also kept cold?
[00:26:26] No.
[00:26:27] Um, no bodies, no...
[00:26:29] Well, so the...
[00:26:31] So this is a medical lab?
[00:26:32] Yeah, it's a medical area.
[00:26:34] So you kind of have like a...
[00:26:39] So, you are on...
[00:26:41] If I'm understanding this correctly.
[00:26:44] Yeah.
[00:26:45] So you walk in and you're in an observation and analysis lab.
[00:26:50] So you can clearly see like...
[00:26:51] And then there's a glass window with the door and then the actual, like, medical
[00:26:56] bay is beyond that.
[00:26:57] So you right now, you are on the observation side of the glass.
[00:27:02] There's a small bank of computer terminals all powered down and there are piles
[00:27:06] of loose paper and a log book.
[00:27:08] What's on the log book?
[00:27:10] You find...
[00:27:12] What's in the log?
[00:27:14] It seems to be notes from Dr. Edim.
[00:27:17] Yeah, that's an important person.
[00:27:19] Dr. Edim.
[00:27:20] Who's on the org chart that we shouldn't look at.
[00:27:23] He's someone that you are, if shit hits the fan, he's someone
[00:27:26] that you are expected to recover.
[00:27:28] Sure.
[00:27:29] Kind of notes.
[00:27:30] You guys take some time to read through them.
[00:27:32] Yeah, sure.
[00:27:33] Okay.
[00:27:34] As you're reading through them, do the other folks want to do anything?
[00:27:35] I want to go towards the medical center.
[00:27:37] Yeah.
[00:27:38] See what's in there.
[00:27:39] Leave this guy to his death.
[00:27:40] Fair enough.
[00:27:42] You can tell...
[00:27:43] The AP is higher than yours.
[00:27:45] Again, there is a glass wall so you can see somewhat through it.
[00:27:49] It is obscured, it is dark.
[00:27:51] So you can see through the glass, you can't see a lot of stuff,
[00:27:53] but you can see that the med bay looks trashed.
[00:27:57] Piles of equipment, smashed stuff.
[00:28:01] You wouldn't necessarily know what all it is,
[00:28:03] but there's probably like a Bacta tank,
[00:28:05] like a Med Pod type thing.
[00:28:07] It's smashed.
[00:28:08] Obviously you do synthetic biological material,
[00:28:12] various cartridges, containers, specimen containment tubes,
[00:28:16] upturned surgical bed.
[00:28:18] There's all kinds of just...
[00:28:19] It's a wreck in there.
[00:28:21] But not surprisingly, the med bay door,
[00:28:24] if you decide to check it is locked.
[00:28:26] You can see it's a mess.
[00:28:27] The door's locked and I don't see anything alive in there.
[00:28:31] No.
[00:28:32] That's good.
[00:28:33] I don't know.
[00:28:34] You have a scanner.
[00:28:35] I do have a scanner.
[00:28:36] I'm using my eyes first.
[00:28:38] Lucas, the notes from Dr. Edum.
[00:28:41] Some of the latest entries in the log say that
[00:28:45] he was excited at the discovery of something
[00:28:48] that he is calling Krebschleder or Krab Song.
[00:28:52] Krab Song.
[00:28:54] I presume he's German.
[00:28:56] Krab people, Krab people.
[00:28:58] He is specified...
[00:28:59] Talk like people.
[00:29:00] He is...
[00:29:01] He notes that it is a shrill shriek
[00:29:04] that the carcinids use in order to replicate.
[00:29:08] Shrill shriek the...
[00:29:09] Carcinids.
[00:29:10] How do you spell that?
[00:29:11] C-A-R-C-I-N-I-D-S.
[00:29:13] I-D-S.
[00:29:14] Yeah.
[00:29:15] Carcinids.
[00:29:16] So kind of like...
[00:29:17] You used to replicate?
[00:29:18] Correct.
[00:29:19] As in reproduce?
[00:29:20] Yes.
[00:29:21] By sound, interesting.
[00:29:24] Are there any sketches of carcinids in this?
[00:29:27] I feel like that's a fair...
[00:29:29] Give me an idea of what that would look like.
[00:29:31] That's a fair question.
[00:29:32] You're seeing various sort of sketches
[00:29:34] of like arthropods...
[00:29:36] Yeah.
[00:29:37] Krab-like appendages...
[00:29:38] Things with claws?
[00:29:40] Yeah, probably things with claws.
[00:29:42] Roughly three claws.
[00:29:45] Nah, you got more crab pincer.
[00:29:47] You're not seeing anything specifically with three claws.
[00:29:50] Okay.
[00:29:51] But you are seeing what appears to be like
[00:29:54] structurally small crab type things.
[00:29:58] Is there anybody in our group that might have any idea
[00:30:01] what a carcinid might be?
[00:30:03] I mean, you know that they were here discovering
[00:30:06] arthropods.
[00:30:07] So you're guessing that that's probably connected?
[00:30:12] Sure.
[00:30:13] Arthropods typically are aquatic, are they not?
[00:30:16] Not my...
[00:30:17] They're crabs.
[00:30:18] Are they not aquatic?
[00:30:19] Yeah.
[00:30:20] But we're in the jungle.
[00:30:21] So...
[00:30:22] No one said anything about oceans or other water.
[00:30:23] We also took cryosleep to get to this planet
[00:30:25] where an android is opening doors
[00:30:27] with the batteries in his body.
[00:30:29] Yeah, that has nothing to do with my question.
[00:30:31] Suspension of disbelief.
[00:30:33] Like through everything else we're going through
[00:30:35] right now you're gonna be like,
[00:30:37] I've seen a body of water!
[00:30:38] I don't know, that's what I'm saying.
[00:30:40] There's arthropods but no water nearby.
[00:30:42] Are you confusing arthropods with cephalopods?
[00:30:45] Possibly.
[00:30:46] Okay, moving right along.
[00:30:49] Quite possibly.
[00:30:51] Like, well cephalopods are squid, right?
[00:30:54] Well, crabs are cephalopods, aren't they?
[00:30:56] Aren't they arthropods?
[00:30:57] Well here's the thing, crabs and those kind of things,
[00:30:59] they can move around outside of water.
[00:31:02] Like crabs do?
[00:31:03] Crab can move outside of water.
[00:31:06] Arthropods are members of the phylum Arthropoda
[00:31:09] which means joined leg.
[00:31:10] Arthropods includes insects, arachnids and crustaceans.
[00:31:13] There are more kinds of beetles in the world
[00:31:15] than any other type of animal, invertebrate or otherwise.
[00:31:17] Arthropods is a phylum that includes insects and spiders.
[00:31:20] Arthropods are very broad.
[00:31:21] It is, okay, never mind them.
[00:31:23] Because for some reason,
[00:31:25] Lucas was just equating that only to water.
[00:31:27] Arthropods can survive pretty much anywhere.
[00:31:29] Gotcha, that's a fair point.
[00:31:32] So it's bugs.
[00:31:41] Hence the title.
[00:31:43] Well, part of the title.
[00:31:44] I mean, I'll take the logbook with me
[00:31:45] and explain what kind of what I've found
[00:31:47] to other people while they're looking around.
[00:31:49] There is one thing that you did note also that's interesting.
[00:31:52] This has several of Dr. Edams like specific notes.
[00:31:56] And he seems to almost begrudgingly admit
[00:32:02] that Hinton, who is the company assigned android,
[00:32:06] did much of the legwork for the discovery of the crab song.
[00:32:10] But of course, Edam was the one who really put two and two together.
[00:32:13] Legwork was just done by the android.
[00:32:15] So there's an android walking around here that...
[00:32:17] The one you're supposed to get the logic core from.
[00:32:19] Yeah, who did most of the work.
[00:32:20] That they said was of utmost importance.
[00:32:22] Yeah, I haven't found that guy yet.
[00:32:24] Nope, could look on the org chart and cheat.
[00:32:26] Is he alive?
[00:32:27] Are any androids really alive?
[00:32:32] What is transhumanism?
[00:32:33] I don't know.
[00:32:34] Please discuss.
[00:32:36] Do you feel, do you have consciousness?
[00:32:38] What about your character?
[00:32:40] Have we all seen Ted too?
[00:32:41] That's where I was going to ask that question.
[00:32:44] Are we talking about me or the character right now?
[00:32:46] Have we all seen Ted too?
[00:32:50] I don't have fucking hands.
[00:32:51] Can a machine have a soul?
[00:32:53] Anyway, so I'm looking into the med bay.
[00:32:56] It's a wreck.
[00:32:57] Would I be able to use my bioscanner to identify anything alive in there
[00:33:01] since I can't see it?
[00:33:02] Or with the glass androfeure too much?
[00:33:05] No, I'd say you can use it if you want.
[00:33:07] I would like to do that.
[00:33:08] I don't want to go into the piranhas.
[00:33:10] So what does the bioscanner do again?
[00:33:12] Can you remind me?
[00:33:13] Or Troy had it, didn't he?
[00:33:14] Where's the heap?
[00:33:15] Where's the book somewhere?
[00:33:16] It's in the book.
[00:33:17] There's the book.
[00:33:18] I can find the thing in the book.
[00:33:20] Bioscanner.
[00:33:21] He just googled it.
[00:33:22] Should we have the equipment section right after?
[00:33:24] No, I think he pulled it up on the app.
[00:33:28] Bioscanner long range allows the user to scan for signs of life
[00:33:32] until the location of signs of life but not what the life is,
[00:33:34] blocked by some materials.
[00:33:36] So I mostly wanted to know if there is life in there
[00:33:39] before going in there to check things out.
[00:33:41] Yes, there is life.
[00:33:42] You get pings of life.
[00:33:43] Lots of it?
[00:33:44] No.
[00:33:45] No.
[00:33:46] Like small, indistinct pings.
[00:33:48] Nope, get the flamethrower.
[00:33:57] Flamethrower.
[00:34:00] I feel like Alex just rolled a fear safe.
[00:34:02] He did.
[00:34:03] I don't know if Mark the android needs one
[00:34:05] but Alex the person just failed a fear save.
[00:34:08] His stress level just went up by one.
[00:34:10] He doesn't want to start a new character tonight.
[00:34:12] Is this problem?
[00:34:13] No, no.
[00:34:14] I have seen this trope.
[00:34:16] I am not opening the door because I know it comes out.
[00:34:19] A bunch of very small, very hungry creatures.
[00:34:22] You don't know that?
[00:34:23] You open the door.
[00:34:25] I'm reading the book.
[00:34:26] Reading Eldritch Knowledge.
[00:34:29] Don't know if he'll try it.
[00:34:31] So to catch you up, big thing Lucas read through the journal.
[00:34:35] They're called the carcinids.
[00:34:38] Yeah, carcinids.
[00:34:39] Carcinids which are arthropods.
[00:34:42] Yeah, it's not.
[00:34:43] I don't like that.
[00:34:45] They don't have claws.
[00:34:46] They replicate through crab song.
[00:34:48] They sing.
[00:34:49] According to Dr. Edom.
[00:34:50] They screech.
[00:34:51] They shrill and apparently fuck.
[00:34:53] Also the android Hinton figured out a lot of it.
[00:34:58] He went over and found out that the med bay is totally fucked
[00:35:03] and he's like the part behind the glass.
[00:35:06] Describing totally fucked is different than what you just said.
[00:35:09] There are multiple life signs behind it.
[00:35:12] Smashed equipment.
[00:35:13] Well, we're building up to that bit.
[00:35:15] Smashed equipment, blah, blah, blah.
[00:35:17] He started to go for the door and he's like,
[00:35:18] let me use my bio scanner.
[00:35:20] I said you detect life in there.
[00:35:22] I forget what he said but I was like four or five
[00:35:24] indistinct small life and he just went nope, nope.
[00:35:29] And that's where we're at.
[00:35:30] So since you guys are more together than I am,
[00:35:33] he can tell you what's behind that glass.
[00:35:35] I'll put on my infrared goggles.
[00:35:38] Are there heat signatures?
[00:35:41] There would have to be.
[00:35:44] You should be able to tell what size they are.
[00:35:46] Yeah, no.
[00:35:47] I mean most of the heat signatures that you're getting are only.
[00:35:50] I'm holding my hands about the size of a football maybe.
[00:35:52] Okay.
[00:35:53] It's bigger than I'd like.
[00:35:55] Little kitty.
[00:35:56] Little kitty cat.
[00:35:57] Four or five of those in there.
[00:35:58] This is batting around in the trash.
[00:35:59] Four or five kitty cats.
[00:36:00] Bat, bat.
[00:36:01] They want to play.
[00:36:02] Bat, bat.
[00:36:03] Who loves kitty?
[00:36:04] What about the infrared?
[00:36:05] Are they invisible?
[00:36:06] It's hard to determine exactly what they are.
[00:36:10] Like I'm not going to treat this stuff as like,
[00:36:12] blame, I know exactly what it is and they're three meters
[00:36:14] this way but you can get because again the whole room has
[00:36:17] tipped and flipped and whatever,
[00:36:18] but you can see that there are signs of heat
[00:36:20] and signs of life on the floor over there somewhere
[00:36:23] if that makes sense.
[00:36:24] I'm just asking, I used my bioscanner.
[00:36:27] He uses infrared.
[00:36:28] We know there's something in there.
[00:36:29] Can we see it with the naked eye?
[00:36:31] No.
[00:36:32] even the door closed.
[00:36:34] The window, is that obstructed?
[00:36:36] No, I think that the room is that fucked up.
[00:36:38] Okay.
[00:36:39] You've got overturned operating tables
[00:36:41] and you missed the whole thing
[00:36:42] where there's like a back to tank in there
[00:36:44] that's been shattered and equipment's everywhere,
[00:36:46] lights pulled down.
[00:36:47] Are these things moving?
[00:36:48] No.
[00:36:49] But we see life forms that are just sitting still.
[00:36:52] You see three or four sources of heat
[00:36:55] and he detects four or five signs of life
[00:36:58] same general direction.
[00:36:59] He's seeing more life than I'm registering.
[00:37:02] Heat signatures?
[00:37:03] A little gray.
[00:37:06] It's enough that like you're like,
[00:37:07] then the heat map and the life signs don't 100% overlap.
[00:37:12] And with that information about the reproduction,
[00:37:14] I do not want to deal with a swarm of these things.
[00:37:17] So I say go the other direction.
[00:37:21] So you obviously have down to sort of straight
[00:37:23] where the noise is or you could go back through the rack
[00:37:26] and then remove that barricade if you wanted to.
[00:37:29] You'd rather circumnavigate.
[00:37:33] Y'all look very uncomfortable.
[00:37:34] You all right?
[00:37:35] I am interested in why there's a barricade
[00:37:40] seemingly to keep something from coming into that hallway.
[00:37:45] Right?
[00:37:45] That's what I would gather.
[00:37:47] You would get the sense that there was a barricade
[00:37:50] keeping something into the mess.
[00:37:53] It means a little indistinct
[00:37:54] because it's just furniture thrown,
[00:37:56] but yes, you get the sense
[00:37:57] that it was probably barricading that way.
[00:37:59] Yeah.
[00:38:00] I don't wanna go through the barricade.
[00:38:02] I do too, because if we're definitely thinking
[00:38:05] the noise is coming from the Northwest corner
[00:38:08] then I kinda wanna make that the last stop.
[00:38:11] What if it's the Android that we need the info from?
[00:38:14] He can hang out.
[00:38:15] Then he could, yeah.
[00:38:17] We don't need him alive.
[00:38:18] What was this room?
[00:38:19] Did we look in this one?
[00:38:20] No.
[00:38:21] Now we haven't gone to that side at all.
[00:38:22] So let's go through the entire West side of this facility.
[00:38:24] Let's go through the barricade
[00:38:25] and head to the Southern room.
[00:38:29] Okay.
[00:38:30] So as you kind of step out into that hallway,
[00:38:32] you've got a door to your left.
[00:38:36] The hallway kinda runs a little bit to your right
[00:38:38] and then there's a door
[00:38:39] and then it runs all the way to the end of the hall
[00:38:41] where the noise is coming from.
[00:38:42] There's a door there as well.
[00:38:47] There is a door.
[00:38:48] I guess I don't want to force you guys to open a door
[00:38:50] if you'd like to open the door or not.
[00:38:52] The one to the left?
[00:38:53] Correct.
[00:38:54] As you turn and you look, there is a door there
[00:38:57] and there is probably in whatever the space equivalent
[00:39:01] of a Sharpie is.
[00:39:02] I guess you would still write, right?
[00:39:03] You would still hand write things.
[00:39:05] So your area's approved space Sharpie
[00:39:07] in like bright red.
[00:39:10] There's like graffiti on the door
[00:39:13] and it says comms off.
[00:39:16] I turned my comm off.
[00:39:19] Totally here.
[00:39:22] This is this door?
[00:39:23] No.
[00:39:24] No.
[00:39:25] Far bottom.
[00:39:26] That is the south.
[00:39:27] I thought you said the noise was coming from here.
[00:39:29] I thought the noise was up here.
[00:39:30] It is coming from there.
[00:39:30] I was confused.
[00:39:32] It is coming from there.
[00:39:33] So I'm more inclined to find out about this noise.
[00:39:39] Gonna go back up to the northwest corner then?
[00:39:41] Well, there's still one more room to explore
[00:39:43] but what do you think Troy?
[00:39:44] Well, we haven't actually seen what's in this room.
[00:39:46] Correct.
[00:39:47] I just, I figure if you know,
[00:39:49] don't open dead inside was written on the door
[00:39:51] you might stop.
[00:39:52] So seeing comms off, I figured it might give you pause
[00:39:55] and you may want to change your mind.
[00:39:57] I mean, it has.
[00:39:59] But so these people have purposefully turned off.
[00:40:05] Are we always saying short communications
[00:40:07] or I mean, obviously they,
[00:40:08] let's say they'd lost a satellite contact.
[00:40:10] So do they turn off all communications?
[00:40:14] Why would they do that then?
[00:40:16] I'm thinking of something similar to the birds.
[00:40:18] You've seen that movie, right?
[00:40:20] God, that was a very long time ago.
[00:40:22] Where there's the radio tower
[00:40:23] and it makes all the avians just go completely bonkers.
[00:40:26] Okay. Yeah.
[00:40:27] I'm thinking a situation like that.
[00:40:29] And considering that these things make screeching sounds
[00:40:31] when they're reproducing.
[00:40:32] There's a shrill high pitch weekend here.
[00:40:35] So.
[00:40:36] All right, let's check out the middle circular room.
[00:40:39] Okay.
[00:40:40] As you move towards the north,
[00:40:42] do you get sort of a slight whiff of,
[00:40:46] has anybody ever welded before?
[00:40:48] Like, you know that smell when you weld?
[00:40:50] Like that sort of like, yeah, that's a good,
[00:40:52] like that kind of a Bernie smell.
[00:40:55] You see that it is,
[00:40:57] that that room is the armory.
[00:40:59] Ooh, I think good.
[00:41:00] So it is a rugged interior metal cage lined with lockers
[00:41:06] that was at one point covered by an industrial blast door.
[00:41:11] That industrial blast door has been ripped from its hinges
[00:41:14] and sort of off to the side now.
[00:41:17] You could see a giant pile of melted metal
[00:41:21] and all the lockers are open and empty.
[00:41:24] If you think about it right, like it,
[00:41:26] the armory would be protected by a door,
[00:41:28] would probably have an interior gate
[00:41:30] and would have lockers on the inside.
[00:41:32] The door is like crushed in, ripped off its hinges, whatever.
[00:41:36] The metal gate that would protect it
[00:41:38] is now unlocked and open
[00:41:40] and all the lockers are empty
[00:41:41] and there's just this pile of just slag
[00:41:45] in the middle of the room.
[00:41:46] So they gathered all of the weapons
[00:41:48] into the middle of the room and melted them?
[00:41:50] Melting them?
[00:41:51] Okay, this is getting really weird.
[00:41:53] I don't feel like humans would have done that.
[00:41:55] That would take a lot of heat.
[00:41:56] I mean, we don't know what's going on.
[00:41:58] That would take a fuck ton of heat.
[00:41:59] Sure.
[00:42:00] Do we see any scorch marks under the pile?
[00:42:03] No.
[00:42:05] You don't see any scorch marks.
[00:42:07] You don't see any scorch marks or claw marks anywhere.
[00:42:10] Any caustic residue?
[00:42:12] No.
[00:42:13] So these things were,
[00:42:15] oh, I don't like the idea of what that caused that.
[00:42:17] Zero cents.
[00:42:18] No, there's a few things that could do that
[00:42:20] but I don't like the idea of any of them.
[00:42:23] Share with the class.
[00:42:25] At certain frequencies stuff starts to come apart.
[00:42:28] It definitely looks more melted.
[00:42:33] It's not disassembled.
[00:42:34] Oh good, that's less terrifying.
[00:42:36] But you're not seeing or understanding
[00:42:39] how that process happened.
[00:42:42] Or if it did turn into a,
[00:42:44] because if it were,
[00:42:45] if this pile, so say it's a pile of weapons
[00:42:47] or whatever it is, that's what you guys
[00:42:49] are operating under that assumption.
[00:42:50] I'm not saying that's either true or not.
[00:42:52] But, see everybody gathered a pile of weapons together
[00:42:55] and they like melted it with intense heat.
[00:42:56] You're right, it would scorch the floor,
[00:42:58] it would cause other things.
[00:43:00] You're not seeing any signs of that.
[00:43:02] And it's not like somebody melted it to slag outside
[00:43:04] and then drug it in here.
[00:43:06] So you're not sure.
[00:43:07] You're not seeing a method by which,
[00:43:09] if it is weapons that this would occur.
[00:43:11] Are we seeing any discernible shapes among the slag
[00:43:15] or is it just one big pile of melted metal?
[00:43:18] As you get closer,
[00:43:19] you do see that it appears to be discarded melted weapons.
[00:43:25] See the butt of a rifle sticking up or something?
[00:43:27] I think about like,
[00:43:28] you guys ever like atomize or melt something and fall out?
[00:43:31] Like just kind of turn some dust
[00:43:32] and there's like the odd bone
[00:43:33] or something sticking out of it like that.
[00:43:35] Yeah.
[00:43:36] Any ammo left over?
[00:43:37] Did they melt that too?
[00:43:39] It is empty, empty, empty, empty.
[00:43:42] For shame, so wasteful.
[00:43:45] They don't want us to get bones.
[00:43:47] Is it a, is it a like mound?
[00:43:49] Is it sort of congealed as a sphere?
[00:43:52] I would say mound is probably better.
[00:43:54] The sphere thing would definitely be more terrifying.
[00:43:58] It floats.
[00:43:59] Well, no, just if you put something in a point in the middle
[00:44:02] and it gathered everything
[00:44:03] and somehow fused it all together.
[00:44:05] That's a fun idea.
[00:44:06] Yeah.
[00:44:06] Like I said, there are several things I could do this,
[00:44:08] but none of them sound good.
[00:44:10] Spells and D&D that like you pull should be very good.
[00:44:12] We're dealing with gravity ball space wizards.
[00:44:15] Monstrous, some sort of crab creatures.
[00:44:18] Crab people, crab.
[00:44:20] People don't like crab walk like.
[00:44:23] Are we still hearing the wrestling?
[00:44:24] Yeah.
[00:44:25] It's not tired yet?
[00:44:26] Go home, buddy, go home.
[00:44:28] All right, we will.
[00:44:29] If it's an android they don't get tired.
[00:44:30] No, we don't.
[00:44:31] Slowly move our way to the north.
[00:44:34] Okay.
[00:44:34] Meet shields first.
